Washington Lodge 3-428 March Lodge Program Northern Norway in Pictures

March Lodge Meeting 3nd Friday, March 20, 2009 at 7:00 PM Pot-Luck Dinner and Program Christ Lutheran Church 3810 Meredith DR, Fairfax, Virginia  A Picture Show by Sofia and Norman Hammer   You are invited to attend this fascinating show of photographs of some northern parts of Norway taken by our experienced travelers, Sofia and Norman Hammer. Pictures are from their 2002 trip to the Lofoten Islands , Vesteralen and Nordland with sights along coastal highway RV-17.                 Comments will be made about the numerous museums, attractions, special restaurants, hotels and fishermen’s houses along the route. In addition, web sites, tourist information and other helpful travel hints will be provided.                 The Hammers have made numerous trips to Nordland since the mid-1960s. Their first visit to the Lofoten Islands was in 1993, and they vowed to return and spend more time.                 In 1995, they developed their plans, but had to abort the visit due to poor weather. Instead they changed course and proceeded into northern Sweden and Finland.
